Art as Activism

Art students at Oakwood School have been painting pumpkins to raise money for JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation).  For the unit, “Art as Activism”, students have been using their skills to promote awareness and help generate funds for a cause. The pumpkins will be sold at the “Pumpkin Express” on Sunday,  October 15th at the Laurelton Fire House, Rt 88, Brick NJ, which is a house decorated with the best furniture and glow paint to make the place look great.  For more information check out the event page website.   http://www.pumpkinexpress.org
